For all that Ate Ging is to the Atienza family in Iqaluit

I am writing this in behalf of Ariel. This is supposed to be read by Ariel during the "Celebration of Ging's Life" at the church on December 9, 2011. (Judy Grace Gabuna) "I have this tremendous feeling right now.....feeling of disbelief that my Ate Ging is gone. Ate Ging I know you're here tonight, and I just want you to know how I am terribly missing you. My kids were crying, especially Mikka when I picked her up this noon from school. You're such a wonderful, very wonderful person. Di ko iniisip na darating ang araw na magkaganito, na mawala ka dito, na sana kasama ka namin sa sasakyan pag umuuwi lalo na sa mga ganitong okasyon." "Lord I just want to pray loud for the eternal peace of her soul. Please take her soul with you as she deserves a place in heaven!" Thank you Ate Ging for all the lessons you have shared about life. Thank you for the time you have spent with Mikka and Ayen, especially attending school performances for Mikka when you would sit and cheer her loud. Thank you for surprising us with food deliveries when Mikka had a skating sessions. You are so thoughtful. Thank you for the tinola, adobo, and your favourite beef corn mushroom dish (Judy agrees). Thank you for reminding me always to be careful about my diet and health for the sake of my children. You supplied me with raw coco sugar, good for diabetes. Thank you for giving Fellen goodies and telling her not to share with me as it is bad for my health. You were too concerned about my health. Thank you for showing us how to be "real" in the real sense of the word. I am a witness how generous you are with kids in Nunavut. The kids of Rachelle who you treat with movies frequently will surely miss you. Thank you for encouraging the kids to be writers. Your brainchild "Dancing Pencils Young Voices" is a testament of good intention for young Nunavumiut in improving their writing skills. It is unfortunate that the promising take off of this publication will be stalled because of your passing. (I hope somebody will pick this up - Judy says). Thank you for continuously giving me advice about life, about my career. Thank you for all the encouragements, for sharing your thoughts and experiences during our long personal talks in the apartment with Fellen; for being so appreciative and understanding. You always told me to check your apos if suppose you'll be gone. It was then like a joke when we don't really take this statement seriously. BUT I WILL TAKE YOUR WORD TO CALL THEM AS MUCH AS I COULD." Ariel Atienze Believe me, it was hard to write this down. - Judy
