bebot 16th December 2011

I'm coming to Toronto to see you for the last time-- Ging, you will be sorely missed by us at the Public Trustee Office, at the Department of Justice in Nunavut. Joanasie, your intern, said in his notice to the Department of Justice: "She was my mentor since February 2011 and I was very happy to work with her. She was a very intelligent, patient and kind mentor. I will sure miss her." As we worked together, it was hard for me to be your supervisor as I respected your wealth of knowledge and experience. I'm happy though that we learned to get along before it was too late. I will remember our last hug before you left for the airport and I will cherish the thought that we parted in good terms. We had such lively and informative discussions, bordering on arguments. You always disliked the thought of having to deal with "gate-keepers" and now I understand why--you were such a rebel at heart. From our Deputy Minister of Justice, Janet Slaughter, she asked me to "pass along our sincerest thanks [to Ging's family] for the gift of Carmencita's time with us, and our sympathies for the incredible lass they are experiencing with her death." Good bye, Ging. from Esmeralda and your staff at the Office of the Public Trusee.
