It is with heartfelt sadness that I learned of Menchit's passing from her very close friend and classmate Nelson De Lara. When there is love from family and friends, any life is too short. She pursued her missions with courage and élan to help others - her selfless commitment "as a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world (Mother Teresa)." We never want to say goodbye to one friend that we cherish so dearly, but you will always be in our thoughts. The many communities that are recipients of her civic and charitable projects are richer for her having lived. She was loved by all and no one who knew her will ever forget her.
